On the 20th of February 2020, we have officiated the launch of Kuala Lumpur’s first glamping in the city, our newest staycation and event space KL, Castra by Colony at Star Boulevard KLCC. We have had the privilege to welcome more than a hundred guests to share this experience with us.

Event Space KL: The Event Agenda

The media launch was held from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm, starting with a welcome note from the Co-Founders of Castra, Timothy and Audrey.

Sharing the story behind Castra’s wanderlust, Audrey briefly explained the inspiration and design layout of the glamping destination. As part of our goals in elevating the working experience, Castra was created to further bring our goal to reality.

The luxe outdoor experience is inspired by Mediterranean aesthetics – rich colour palette like orange, brown and gold are used in the design of the two bohemian tents.  

The glamping space is separated into several sections, a Pamper Tent that offers shoulder massages and mani-pedis by Effortless Beauty, and an airbrush tattoo service by Gigsmore Tattoo in our Connect Tent. Guests can also enjoy creating their own DIY bath salt tubes by Wunderbath at the outdoor communal table.

As Castra promotes self-pampering while connecting with your friends and loved ones, we wanted to showcase the experiences and activities that could be done at our glamping site. 

The canape and light bites were prepared by Define:food and nothing says party without light drinks! We’ve also partnered with Lillet & Mumm for guests to enjoy a drink or two here as they watch the evening transition from an urban oasis to a luxury glamping experience throughout the event.
